Here at DHS we take pride in being able to make a positive difference in our community. That’s why we are so pleased to have been able to partner with West of England’s (WE) Care and Repair scheme. This allows us to help vulnerable people in Bristol improve their homes so they can continue to live comfortably and independently. It also lets us help people on lower incomes make necessary improvements to their homes that they would not otherwise be able to afford using council-subsidised loans.
To find out more about the kind of services we offer through the WE Care and Repair scheme call DHS today on 0117 924 7200.
What is WE Care and Repair?
WE Care and Repair is the Home Improvement Agency for the West of England. They are a non-profit organisation with charitable status focused on providing assistance to people who are over 60 or younger people who have disabilities, learning difficulties or mental health issues. It also supports those on lower incomes by providing council-subsidised loans to help cover the cost of home repairs and improvements.
The scheme covers Bath and North East Somerset (BANES), Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. They offer help with issues such as installing new boilers and central heating systems, fitting accessible bathroom facilities and general home repairs, such as fixing leaky roofs and replacing faulty wiring.
